Hi, welcome to my page! My name is Cierra, the owner and creator of Elah’s Heirlooms.
I first discovered this passion when I decided to make everyone’s Christmas presents one year. Once I began, I completely fell in love with creating seeing what I could make and bring to life with my own hands.
Recently, I was accepted into hygiene school. Around the same time, I made the decision to step away from my job and fully invest in turning my hobby into something more. You always hear, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,” and I’m finally taking that to heart.
Coming up with the name wasn’t easy at first. I knew I wanted something faith-based, something sweet and a little “grandma-y.” Then it hit me my great-grandma’s name was Ela. I loved how simple and beautiful it was.
As I kept thinking, I was reminded of the Valley of Elah in the Bible, where David defeated Goliath. That connection made the name even more meaningful to me.
My grandma Debbie has always been incredibly crafty especially when it comes to crocheting. She’s amazing at it! I dreamed of taking our creations to farmers markets and sharing that experience together. When I thought about us working side by side, multiple generations creating together, the word “heirlooms” came to mind.
And just like that, Elah’s Heirlooms was born.
I’m so excited to watch this business grow and blossom. And just like the story behind the name, I know I can face and overcome any giant that comes my way along this journey.
